Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES-II). This questionnaire describes experiences that some people have in everyday life. Indicate what percentage of the time each experience happens to you when you are NOT under the influence of alcohol or drugs, from 0% (never) to 100% (always). 1.Driving or travelling and suddenly realising you do not remember what happened during part of the journey.
2.Listening to someone talk and suddenly realising you did not hear part or all of what was said.
3.Finding yourself in a place and having no idea how you got there.
4.Finding yourself dressed in clothes you do not remember putting on.
5.Finding new things among your belongings that you do not remember buying.
6.Being approached by people who call you by another name or insist they have met you before.
7.Feeling as though you are standing next to yourself or watching yourself from outside, as if watching another person.
8.Being told that you do not recognise friends or family members.
9.Having no memory for important events in your life (for example, a wedding or a graduation).
10.Being accused of lying when you do not think you have lied.
11.Looking in a mirror and not recognising yourself.
12.Feeling that other people, objects and the world around you are not real.
13.Feeling that your body does not belong to you.
14.Remembering a past event so vividly that you feel as if you are reliving it.
15.Not being sure whether something you remember really happened or whether you only dreamt it.
16.Being in a familiar place and finding it strange or unfamiliar.
17.Becoming so absorbed in a television programme or film that you are unaware of what is happening around you.
18.Becoming so involved in a fantasy or daydream that it feels as though it were really happening.
19.Being able to ignore pain at times.
20.Staring into space, thinking of nothing, and being unaware of the passage of time.
21.Talking out loud to yourself when you are alone.
22.Acting so differently in two situations that you feel almost as if you were two different people.
23.Finding that in certain situations you can do with great ease things that would usually be difficult for you.
24.Being unable to remember whether you have done something or only thought about doing it.
25.Finding evidence that you have done something that you do not remember doing.
26.Finding writings, drawings or notes of your own that you do not remember making.
27.Hearing voices inside your head that tell you to do things or comment on what you are doing.
28.Seeing the world through a fog, so that people and objects appear far away or unclear.
